Updated on March 25, 2013

2013 Impala

Impala was one of the best selling cars of America and the 2013 Impala model has features that can help it catch the imagination of customers once again.

  • Performance & Fuel economy
  • Features
  • Interior & Exterior
  • Safety & Quality

Performance & Fuel Economy of 2013 Impala

The 2013 Impala has a 3.6 liter V-6 engine with a six-speed transmission. The engine can run on regular unleaded petrol and produces 300 horsepower. Due to the six-speed transmission, the acceleration is much faster and passing can be stronger.

The gas mileage is on par with other sedans in this segment and it offers 18 miles per gallon on city cycle. The mileage is better on highways and it offers 30 miles per gallon.

Features of 2013 Impala

The standard features that are available on 2013 Impala include AM, FM and CD player with satellite radio, Bluetooth and keyless entry, cruise control, power windows and mirrors and steering wheel controls.

Apart from these standard features, the 2013 Impala also have an automatic dual zone climate control, 17 inch machined aluminum wheels, remote start and flip and fold rear seats.

Interior & Exterior of 2013 Impala

The 2013 Impala interior and exteriors have not changed much over the years. Although they are not fresh or contemporary, they are pleasing to look at. The nose and curve of the roofline looks elegant and resembles the sedans of the past generation. The interior cabin has a functional layout and all the gauges and controls are clearly laid out.

The taillights are sleek and have a modern look. The refined appearance of the sedan can be attributed to the twin exhaust pipes that mold into a bumper on the back end. All this makes it look classy and appealing.

Safety & Quality 2013 Impala

The safety record of the 2013 Impala has been remarkable with good crash test scores. The 2013 Impala fares quite well on the side and frontal impact tests that are conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The other safety features that are included are anti-lock brakes, side and curtain airbags, standard dual front and Onstar emergency and concierge system.

The 2013 Impala is spacious with a large trunk. The seats are wide and flat with ample head and shoulder room. The cabin is simple and refined with a leather wrapped steering wheel.

The 2013 Impala has plenty of things going for it with powerful engines and comfortable seats to fuel efficiency. It looks more lavish and high quality compared to the earlier models. The folding rear seats can help you accommodate things easily inside the car. Although it is a carryover from 2012, it still manages to spring a few surprises.

The performance has improved a lot and with a low price, it is still a favorite among many buyers. It has been revamped to make it look fresh and appealing and although there are some improvements that can still be made, it manages to hold its own against competitors.
